The Diabetes Empowerment Education Program, also known as DEEP™, is a six-week class designed to help people with pre-diabetes, diabetes, relatives, and caregivers gain a better understanding of diabetes self-care. Classes provide participants with eight unique learning modules, including topics like signs and risk factors for diabetes, using exercise to help manage diabetes, healthy eating for controlling blood sugar, and preventing diabetes complications.
